MUD

The annual Dusk 'Till Dawn event takes place on the 3rd - 4th of October this year with 1,000 riders racing from 8pm Saturday evening all the way through 'till 8am Sunday morning. You can choose to race solo or as part of a team. We should warn that the solo event is aimed at experienced riders/racers only. So far we have three teams of three riding - but it'd be great to have a few more. It's best to come well prepared for this event - last year saw a whole night of rain and thick mud which added to the sense of achievement (and relief) once 8am arrived! Check the weather forecast in advance. A good level of physical fitness is required for this event. You will need to bring your own lights or hire them from Lumicycle - book in advance. More information can be found here: http://www.thetfordmtbracing.com/d2d.htm

If you're interested in racing then please email Matt Saunders (Matt.Saunders@omegauw.com) or call/text Matt on 07868 251169.

Rhayader

David Collard is off to Rhayader on 3rd + 4th October for a guided mountain bike ride in the Elan Valley and surrounding hills. Total cost for two days is £176 including 2 nights Bed & Breakfast, a 3 course dinner on the Saturday night, packed or picnic lunch each day and an experienced guide. (Dinner is both huge and tasty - everything is local and fresh). Rhayader has a town camp site and Clive Powell has previously quoted a price excluding B & B for those who prefer the economy of camping. Riding in the Elan Valley doesn't get the attention of some of the other parts of Wales but it has good riding and stunning views. Last October they even had a heat wave when David was there, so there were more stream crossings done the wet way!
